Elburton pupil wins an award at the Rotary Young Artists Exhibition 2011
10 pieces of outstanding artwork, produced by a range of children from KS1 and KS2, were being exhibited at Plymouth Airport for the month of April, as part of the Rotary Young Artists Exhibition 2011.
Above are the pieces that were selected to enter the competition, they are wonderful and showcase the children’s talent!

The children should be very proud of their work and it is wonderful that they have been given the opportunity to have them shown to a wider audience.

Caitlin, one of our Year 6 pupils, was invited to meet the Lord Mayor of Plymouth, after her picture was voted the winner in the KS2 category by visitors to the airport. Her family and Miss Marriott accompanied her to the Lord Mayors Parlour to collect her prize and have tea with the mayor and other prize winners. Her entry, which was of a Mexican Wolf, was a worthy winner and something she should be very proud of. Well done Caitlin!

Below is a picture of Caitlin receiving her prize.
