| Profile: | I am a Chartered Engineer leading a team of consultants located across the whole of the UK. I came to Plymouth to study, (more years ago than I care to recall), married and am proud to call Plymouth my home. My career (which has required significant travel at times) has always been Railway related be it Metro, Light Rail or Heavy Rail (Passenger or Freight). I am an integrator. I facilitate / ensure that all elements of the subsystems that make up the railway from design, physical construction works, operation and maintenance through to decommission are as safe and efficient as possible.
I have a passion for community though I am quite content to do my bit from behind the scenes. My first involvement with Elburton Primary School was many years ago when I was elected as a parent governor while my son Mark was at School (and he is now a serving police officer in the city). My daughter Emma was also blessed to have Elburton Primary School as the foundation for her education and she is now a Primary School teacher herself. I am proud of all that Elburton Primary School has been, is now and will continue to be into the future and am thankful to have had a small part to deliver in support of that. I have a Conscientiousness style making my key behaviours analytical, reserved, precise, private and systematic. I support the school and the pupils as much as possible, read the briefs, ask the questions and hold others and myself to account. |
